Championship Information:
ICCF shows all working and confirmation titles from reputable organizations on our pedigrees and certificates. We believe this gives the most thorough pedigree any registry has ever had on the Cane Corsos. When you order a four, six or eight generation pedigree or obtain a registration certificate from the ICCF, all show and working titles will be listed in red and indicate what organization they received their titles from.
Ex: “AKC, UKC CH Zorro”
This will allow multi-show and working titles to be displayed on pedigree and/or certificate. Also, starting 1/1/2015, the ICCF will be bringing back ICCF Champion and Grand Champion titles, please see below on how to achieve this prestigious title.
The organizations we now accept are: AKC, UKC, FCI, ARBA, NAKC, RBCSO, ABDIS

Cane Corso Aptitude Test
The minimum age required in order to take and pass the CCAT is 1 year of age.
Dogs that pass will be awarded an Excellent, Good, of Fair.
The ICCF – CCAT consist of 6 parts.
Part 1: Neutral Stranger
A stranger walks up to the handler and shakes hands and exchange pleasantries (e.g. you have a very nice dog.) The Stranger never interacts with the dog.Intention: To evaluate the dogs passive social ability.
Part 2: Obedience
On leash obedience Must have a 6’ foot leash with flat buckle collar, choke or fur saver (on dead ring). On the steward’s signal, the team will start. The team will heel approximately ten paces and do a left turn then ten more paces and do a right turn go ten more paces then come to a halt. The steward will then point the team to a designated area where the dog will be put into a down-stay or a sit-stay. Walk to the end of the leash and the steward will tell the handler to recall his/her dog.Intention: To demonstrate how much control the handler has over the dog
Part 3: Hidden Noise
The handler and dog approaches a hidden assistant who rattles a metal bucket filled with rocks, a can filled with pennies, or a jug of rocks then sets it in the path of the handler and dog. The handler may encourage the dog to investigate the bucket only when asked to do so. The handler’s focus must be on the bucket, not on the dog Intention To evaluate the dog’s reaction to auditory stimuli and investigative behavior.
Part 4: Visual Stimulus
The handler and dog approaches an assistant holding a closed umbrella parallel to the ground at a 90-degree angle to the approaching handler and dog. When the dog is five feet from the assistant the umbrella is opened. The handler may encourage the dog to investigate the umbrella only when asked to do so. The handler’s focus must be on the umbrella, not on the dog.Intention To evaluate the dog’s response to an unexpected visual stimulus.
Part 5: Different Footing (Wire or Plastic)
Wire Footing: Only the dog walks the entire length of a least 2-3 feet by 6-10 feet unfold exercise pen or wire crate.Plastic Footing Both the handler and dog walk the entire length of 3-6 feet by 8-12 feet plastic strip.IntentionTo evaluate the dog’s response to uncommon footing.
Part 6: Threat
The dog must have on a buckle collar, and a choke chain or fur saver as back up. The back-up collar will be clipped to the leash with the flat buckle collar. The decoy is being passive at this time and about 20 feet away. After about 5 seconds of being passive the decoy will move forward 5 feet before becoming a threat, then he/she will stop for 3-5 seconds then advance with 5 feet of the dog in an aggressive manner and stop. The dog doesn’t have to bark, but at least be in front of the handler looking at the decoy. The dog should at least show an investigative spirit with no flight tendencies. Once the steward is finish recording he/she will tell the decoy to run away and the exercise will be done. The handler can give support to the dog for its reaction against the aggressor. The dog should show a real attitude to defend. The decoy will never come within 5 feet of the dog. The dog will never be hit or touch by the decoy. The dog that demonstrates indifference, shyness or fear will not pass.
Intention: To evaluate the dog’s defensive drive. Also to evaluate the dog’s ability to deter a threat without protection training equipment present.
At the end of the evaluation, the handler will receive a critique about the dog’s performance.
To pass the ICCF CCAT and receive a certificate, the dog must pass all items.
